Cash App Users May Be Eligible for $2500 Payout
Recent Data Breaches Lead to Settlement
Users Have Until November 18, 2024 to File Claim
Due to a series of data breaches, Cash App users may be eligible to receive a payout of up to $2500 as part of a new $15 million settlement. Block Inc., the parent company of Cash App, revealed that unauthorized access to customer accounts occurred during the past year.
In order to receive reimbursement for the data and security breach, Cash App users must submit a claim by November 18, 2024. The settlement covers individuals who used the platform during the time of the breaches.
This is not the first time Cash App has faced issues with data breaches. Last year, the company announced that some customers' accounts had been compromised. As a result, users are advised to remain vigilant and take steps to protect their personal and financial information.
