Ryan Truex Wins Second Xfinity Series Race of the Season at Daytona
Truex Led the Field in an Overtime Shootout
Ryan Truex claimed his second NASCAR Xfinity Series win of the season on Friday night at Daytona International Speedway. The 32-year-old driver from Mayetta, New Jersey, led 28 of the 102 scheduled laps and survived an overtime shootout to record his second Xfinity Series victory.
Truex took the lead for good on Lap 95 after a caution came out for a multi-car accident. He held off challenges from Noah Gragson and Justin Allgaier to take the checkered flag.
The win is Truex's first at Daytona and his second of the season. He also won at Atlanta Motor Speedway in March.
